Psalm 147:5: “Great is our Lord and abundant in strength His understanding is infinite…”Įphesians 3:8: “To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ…” Who is like the Lord our God, Who is enthroned on high, Who humbles Himself to behold the things that are in heaven and in the earth?” Psalm 113:4-6: “The Lord is high above all nations His glory is above the heavens.

Isaiah 40:28: “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. Romans 11:33: “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways.” The infinite and immeasurable nature of God is revealed all throughout the Bible.

No one can place any aspect of who God is on a scale or against a yardstick.” His limitlessness underlies all of His attributes His power, knowledge, love and mercy are not merely great, but they are infinitely so, immeasurably so. Jen writes, “Any discussion of how God is not like us must begin with an acknowledgment that we are measurable and His is not. The first chapter explores the notion that God is Infinite. I’ve only read one chapter so far but I’ve learnt such a lot already, and I can’t wait to read more. I’ve recently started reading a book by Jen Wilkin called ‘None Like Him: 10 Ways God is Different From Us (and why that’s a good thing)’. And yet I am still learning – learning more about God and more about myself. I’ve been a follower of Christ my whole life.
